Los Angeles based writer/director Cristian Mercado began making films at fourteen, building his way through nearly every part of the process, from editing and lighting to cinematography, he's honed an unusually complete command of the image. His work combines visual precision with emotionally grounded performances, often finding tension, humor, and unexpected depth beneath polished surfaces.
Mercado has created work for brands including Subaru, California Fish Grill, Poppi, BÉIS, CASETiFY, Avaline, and Mentor, moving fluidly between intimate human stories and ambitious, highly constructed visual worlds. Whether working with celebrities, actors, artists, or real people, he brings a hands-on approach shaped by years spent behind the camera and in the edit, allowing performance, rhythm, and imagery to operate as parts of the same idea.
